The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has successfully signed more than 25 service agreements in India. A delegation of 65 Nepali tourism representatives, led by HAN President Binayak Shah, recently visited New Delhi to encourage Indian tourists to spend their summer holidays in Nepal.
During the visit, a special business-to-business (B2B) meeting was held to promote Nepal's tourism. According to the association, Indian travel experts showed great interest in several areas, including destination weddings, wellness tourism, corporate conferences, and family vacations. There was also strong interest in Nepal's famous nature, culture, and adventure activities like trekking.
A Growing Interest in Neighboring Nepal
The event was organized alongside the Nepal Tourism Board and supported by the Nepali Embassy in Delhi. It brought together over 100 Indian tourism entrepreneurs and representatives from 50 high-end Nepali hotels and resorts.
Several major Indian tourism organizations, including the Hotel Association of India and the Indian Wedding Industry Association, shared their positive outlook on Nepal.
They noted that while conflict in the Middle East and rising airfares are making international travel difficult, Nepal remains an attractive choice. Indian travelers are especially interested in Nepal’s cool weather during the hot summer months and the growing number of high-quality facilities available.
